Arrivals Procedure  
   
1) Pre Arrival Information  
Vessels requiring a pilot should send ETA off the Fairway Lt Buoy (54?38’.71N 5?46’.16W) 6hours and 2 hours in advance stating:  
  • Vessel’s name
  • Maximum draught
  • Last port
  • Master’s name
  • Any defects
  • If less than 100m LOA and not carrying hazardous cargo in bulk pilot boarding position required (Fairway Lt buoy or Lt Bn No 12)
 
   
2) Reporting Positions  
Vessels Inward Bound should establish contact with Belfast Port Control on VHF Ch 12 as follows:  
a) Not less than 2hrs before arrival at the Fairway Lt buoy (54?38’.71N 5?46’.16W)
b) On passing the Fairway buoy.
c) On passing Lt Bn No 12
 
   
Vessels within the area should report as follows:  
a) On passing the Fairway Lt buoy
b) On passing Lt Bn No 12
c) On anchoring in Belfast Lough
d) On berthing and unberthing
 
   
Vessels Outward-bound or Shifting Berth should report as follows:  
a) ETD should be sent at least 1hr in advance if a pilot is required or 15 minutes in advance if not required.
b) On passing Lt Bn No 12
c) On passing the Fairway Lt buoy
