Belfast Harbour is the leading port in the break bulk sector on the island of Ireland benefitting from significant capital investment in purpose built storage accommodation for each of the major break bulk commodities.
In excess of 300,000 tonnes of break bulk goods are handled in Belfast each year including printing paper, timber and steel products, some of which is regularly supplied to destinations in the Republic of Ireland as far away as Cork.
