Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann: Visitor & Traffic Information for Belfast Harbour (2–9 August)
Belfast Harbour is proud to support Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, taking place in Belfast from 2–9 August. This major cultural celebration will bring thousands of visitors to the city, including increased activity across Belfast Harbour Estate.

Ensuring the Port and Harbour Estate continues to operate safely and efficiently
Keeping disruption to a minimum wherever possible
Monitoring traffic and operational impacts throughout the event
To help everyone plan ahead, we’ve outlined the key arrangements, expected impacts and recommended actions for businesses, tenants, visitors and partners throughout the event period.
What to Expect During Fleadh Week
Throughout the week, the Harbour Estate will experience significantly higher levels of activity. This includes:
Increased vehicle and pedestrian movement across the estate
Higher traffic volumes, especially during morning and evening peak periods
Longer journey times on routes serving the Cruise Terminal and Airport Road West
Greater demand at junctions and access points throughout the estate
Belfast Harbour Police will have traffic management measures in place to help minimise disruption and maintain safe, efficient operations; action will be taken in respect of illegally parked vehicles.

Live‑In Vehicle Campsite – Titanic Quarter
A temporary 400‑space live‑in vehicle campsite will be in operation in Titanic Quarter throughout Fleadh week. This facility will accommodate visitors attending events across Belfast and is expected to increase footfall and vehicle movements in the area.
A programme of family-friendly activities and events will also take place nearby, attracting additional visitors. Further details can be found via the Fleadh organisers.
Park & Ride – Airport Road West
Belfast Harbour’s Cruise Terminal/D1 site on Airport Road West will operate as a major Park & Ride facility from 2 to 9 August, providing parking capacity for up to 4,000 vehicles.
This is one of several Park & Ride locations supporting the event. Full details of all Park & Ride facilities and transport arrangements are available HERE
Car Parking
For those visiting Belfast Harbour, there are a number of parking facilities available within the estate and surrounding areas. For details visit HERE
City Quays ECP Car Park
Please note that the City Quays ECP car park at Donegall Quay will be reserved exclusively for City Quays tenants and their visitors during Fleadh week. Parking will not be available to any other users during this period.
Guidance for Businesses and Tenants
To help minimise disruption to operations, we recommend:
Allowing additional travel time for staff, visitors, deliveries and collections
Informing contractors, suppliers and customers of expected delays
Planning delivery schedules in advance and building in contingency time
Exercising extra caution when driving or walking within the estate due to increased pedestrian movements
