Edinburgh Cup Championships begin!

The Edinburgh Cup has been the Class Championship for the British Dragon Class of sailing vessels since 1949.For the first time since 2000, Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club will be hosting the prestigious Championships. 45 Dragon boats will contest the Championships which has attracted international competitors from Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, Monaco, Estonia, the UK and Ireland.

Preceding the event was the Northern Area Championships which ran from Sunday 1st – Tuesday 3rd July. Congratulations to Jerboafrom Royal Corithinan Yacht Club, helmed by Gavia Wilkinson-Cox and crewed by Stavros Payne and Rui Boia which finished first. Second and third place went to Dark & Stormy and Fever.
