Belfast Harbour recently hosted the official launch of the Commissioners’ Programme. The Programme, run by Belfast Metropolitan College offers Harbour tenants the opportunity to take on an apprentice or someone in a paid work placement at low cost or no cost to their business.
Thirty tenants of the Harbour Estate attended and heard from Belfast Harbour’s Chief Executive, Roy Adair and Justin Edwards, Director of Curriculum and Assistant Chief Executive at Belfast Metropolitan College as to why this style of partnership, offering young people opportunities to improve their future prospects, is so vital in today’s economy.
