Last month Maghera-based BSG Civil Engineering Ltd was appointed to deliver Victoria Park and Orangefield Park sections of the Connswater Community Greenway
These works include the creation of 3 kms of new paths, four new or improved bridges, flood alleviation measures, landscaping, and public realm work, and street furniture including new lighting.
One of the key elements planned for Victoria Park is a new bridge link to Airport Road as pictured above.
The bridge will take approx. take four months to construct and will link east Belfast to Titanic Quarter and the National Cycle Network.
The name of the bridge is under consideration.
